Week 1: Orientation. Covering all topics to be taught and discussed in the program. Run through of the different categories of modeling (not everyone is built to be a fashion model and so what) fashion, runway, plus, petite, commercial, sports and parts.

"All about the biz".  How to pursue getting into it and what to avoid (if someone targets you in a mall..run for the hills..if you go to a modeling agency and they ask for money and have their own photographers..run for the moon..if your child is propositioned or a photographer tries to talk them into taking off their clothes and they are not comfortable with the situation..walk right out and report it to the agent, parents or proper authorities).

How to get an agent. List of reputable agents. How to build a portfolio. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Style & The City will not promise to make your child a star nor will we make any false promises. What we do guarantee is that our seminars will help them to build self-esteem from the inner and outer core while working to create a positive self image. Each participant will receive individual attention and we will work harder to help those who are shy to help bring them out of the shell. Having self confidence from an early age is the key to happiness and success throughout one’s life. We encourage all of our participants to be active in school and social activities to preparation for winning friends and influencing people in life, be it for modeling, commercial, job or college interviews and socialization. Week 2: Make-Up one. We will assess each participant’s face and eye brows and make suggestions as to what make-up they will need and what they can do to make the most of their face look as best as it can be. We will demonstrate make-up on participants and will show them how to correct any flaws or imperfections that may bother them. How to correct bumpy or crooked noses, enhance lips, best shape for each individual's eyes, cover skin problems and coordinate and enhance bone structure to balance out with features. Who better to provide tips on make-up than one of the world's leading make-up artists and the best selling author of "The Complete Book Of Make-up?"

Week 3: Make-Up Two. will be more extensive and the participants will bring in their own make-up to apply in the classroom. We will supervise and critique each participant as they apply participant make-up as they currently wear it.  The make-up will be kept uncomplicated, natural and age appropriate. The purpose of make-up is to enhance one's natural beauty, not to mimic war paint. This sessions will be supervised as is age appropriate.

Week 4: Hair Care and Styling. We suggest that the best strategy is to work with what you have, and not damage your hair by excessive bleaching and frying. Our experts will assess each participant individually and suggest the best hairstyle and cut in consideration with the shape of each face and hair texture. It is important to appreciated the type of hair you have and not wish for someone else's. There will be demonstrations of how to use the blow dryer, curling and flat iron properly. Also, demonstrations of styling and updo's..all age appropriate. For younger participants, electrical appliances will not be on the agenda. Our experts will refer to the section  in "The Complete Book Of Make-up" about hair and how it is styled for the top fashion magazines advertisements and commercials.

Week 5: Fashion and Image. Participants will be told to bring in a few of their favorite outfits along with accessories to coordinate mix and match for the class. In this group participation fun class and all participants will be expected to critique each others’ choices. Helpful suggestions will be made and fashion and it’s impact on image will be discussed. We will also advise to focus on the basics and then learn to make the most of your wardrobe. Creativity and one's own personal style is encouraged. We  will also stress that one must be particularly selective while shopping so as not to buy items that will merely hang in the closet. This is a fun creative class led by fashion stylists and personal shoppers.

Week 6: Skin and Hair care. Discussion on how to maintain a healthy head of hair and glowing youthful skin. Group discussion and sharing tips will be evaluated and a demonstration of why it is important that kids learn to use sun block at an early age.

Week 7: Proper diet and exercise. Our presenters will demonstrate a few key and simple exercises.  We will engage in a group discussion on how to maintain a healthy diet and the causes  and need to cure eating disorders. It is most important that teens know about the pitfalls of anorexia and bulimia and we encourage them not starve themselves, but that with a healthy diet one can maintain his or her ideal weight.  Its also important that participants learn to be comfortable and excepting of their body structure and height.

Week 8: Preparation for photo shoots. Our experts will demonstrate tricks of the trade and how to move in front of the camera. Each participant will get into runway mode and pretend that they are on a shoot while our video cameras are rolling. We will will work with each participant and help them warm up and prepare for the photo-shoot. The video will be played back so that they can see what they need to correct and work on. This is a fun group participation and a great exercise in performance. Participants will receive instructions before the class on what to practice at home in preparation.

Week 9: Walking and runway walk (cat walk). This class will cover the basic instruction of how to walk with self confidence and head held high. Its surprising how many people have poor posture, slump, shuffle and keep their heads down while walking. Many also walk with irregular gaits, picked up from their peers. The current cross over cat walk will be demonstrated and each participant will have the opportunity to strut their stuff. This is also a self-confidence building exercise regarding whether they will ever walk the runway or not.

Week 10: Proper manners. This will cover how to eat properly, set a table, proper etiquette (thank you notes, and common courtesy in general). We will demonstrate the proper European way of eating and ask them to practice this at home. The group will discuss bad table manners and what is a “turn-off” when in a restaurant. This is not a stuffy old-fashioned session from an Emily Post edition but a fun, hip and modern way of getting the point across.

Week 11: Articulation and Proper Speech.  A brief lesson on the importance of polishing-up speech and how it relates to sophistication. It is understandable that youth of today have their own jargon and ways of expressing themselves; however, and, “um” and “like” after every word shows room for improvement. Also, a briefing on properly forming vows is important when auditioning for commercials. Participants will take turns reading and annunciating properly. Increasing one’s range of vocabulary is also encouraged. This too, will be discussed briefly and carried from the beginning of the sessions as they will work on better speech throughout the seminars. It is not enough to look good and then blow the good image when opening one’s mouth.

Week 12: Preliminaries for reading for a commercial. Participants will be given a few tips and pointers on how to read and pace themselves. A tape recorder will be on hand and played back to them to show the difference from beginning to end demonstrating how they have improved by the difference by the end of the sessions.

Week 13: Rehearsal for fashion show. A theme will be selected and participants will bring in a few outfits to walk the runway. It will be choreographed and structured. This session will  be held in a Hotel setting to more closely approximate the real world environment of runway and fashion show modeling.

Week 14: Fashion show. Held in an auditorium, this will be a fun way for the participants to demonstrate their new look and self image. Family and friends will be welcome.
